I’ve always believed that the best stories are the ones wagging their tails behind the scenes. For the Dogs: The Camberley Kate Story was born out of my love for both musical theater and rescue animals. Inspired by the extraordinary life of Kate Ward. affectionately known as “Camberley Kate”. This project celebrates kindness, community, and the quirky, unconditional love of dogs.
I’m a lifelong creative: an actor, improviser, storyteller, lyricist, and hands-on maker who finds magic in unexpected places, whether it’s a vintage melody, a wagging tail, or a community rallying together. This musical is my way of honoring the unsung heroes who make the world a little softer, one rescued soul at a time.
The show blends high-energy doo-wop harmonies with a touching true story set in post-war England, when one woman took in stray dogs. It’s funny, heartfelt, and a little bit scrappy - just like the dogs at the center of it all.
I’m currently developing the musical through songwriting sessions, workshops, and live previews, with a vision of bringing For the Dogs to audiences around the world. Whether you’re a theater lover, a fellow dog person, or just someone who loves a good underdog story, welcome to the pack!
